Overview
Punk Flyers is a straight shot of punk history, loaded with original flyers from the scene’s early days. No polish, no touch ups, just raw designs that bands and fans slapped together with whatever they had: sharpies, scissors, and a photocopier. This book captures that grit, showcasing the energy of bands who played in the shows that the flyers advertise.
Approach
The goal of this book is to stay true to the raw, unfiltered identity that made punk an unstoppable force. With interviews from band members, and the kids (now adults) that remember going to these shows and swiping the flyers from bar walls, Chinese restaurants, and telephone poles.
